Supercell just dropped the July 2026 balance changes, and it's safe to say the era of overpowering Hero cards might be coming to an end. Our team has analyzed the patch notes, and the impact on the current meta will be massive. Let's dive into the biggest winners and losers of this update.

NERFS

If you've been relying on Hero cards to carry your matches, you might want to rethink your strategy. The development team has heavily targeted them this month. We expect these nerfs to severely slow down the fast cycle strategies that have been dominating the top ladder.

HERO MAGIC ARCHER

Dummy Hitpoints: 627 → 271 (-57%)
Teleport Range: 5 tiles → 3.5 tiles (-30%)
Triple Shot Range: 15.5 tiles → 13.5 tiles (-13%)

This is arguably the biggest nerf of the patch. His dummy hitpoints were slashed by over half, and both his teleport and triple shot ranges were significantly reduced. He will no longer be the elusive escape artist he used to be.

HERO BALLOON

Skeletrooper Damage: 256 → 204 (-20%)
Skeletrooper Hit Speed: 0.9s → 1.1s (-22%)

The Skeletroopers dropping from the balloon are now firing 22% slower and dealing 20% less damage. This makes punishing mistakes much less devastating for the defender.

HERO KNIGHT

Shield Hitpoints: 768 → 512 (-33%)

The Knight's signature shield lost a massive 33% of its health, making it significantly less sturdy against defensive towers and troops.

HERO GOBLINS

Deploy Time: 1s → 1.3s (+30%)

The Banner Brigade now takes 30% longer to deploy. This gives players a much-needed window to react with spells like The Log or Arrows before taking massive tower damage.

EVOLVED EXECUTIONER

Close Quarters Damage: 268 → 240 (-10%)
Close Quarters Range: 3.5 tiles → 2.5 tiles (-29%)

In order to make him more situational, his close-quarters damage and range were cut by nearly 30%. He can no longer completely outrange and bully dragons.

MINER

Crown Tower Damage: 49 → 39 (-16%)

Following previous blanket nerfs to spells, Miner received another 16% reduction to his Crown Tower damage, drastically reducing his chip-damage efficiency.

BUFFS

While the nimble heroes are getting weakened, the heavy hitters are stepping back into the spotlight. A brand new beatdown meta is slowly rising from the ashes of these hero nerfs.

HERO TOMBSTONE (REWORK)

Ability Cost: 6 Elixir → 5 Elixir
Continuously Spawned Skeletons: 2 → 0
Hitpoints: 3379 → 4044 (+20%)

The Tomb Queen is getting a massive power shift. Her ability cost dropped, and she gained more health! However, she no longer continuously spawns skeletons. This turns her into a standalone win condition rather than just a defensive spawner.

P.E.K.K.A

Damage: 816 → 842 (+3%)

Our favorite armored samurai received a slight damage increase. While it sounds small, it allows her to one-shot several mid-health troops that previously survived with a sliver of health.

ELECTRO GIANT

Hitpoints: 3855 → 3952 (+3%)

While his previous rework was a step in the right direction, he lacked the health to be a consistent threat. A health boost makes him much more reliable on offense.

RAM RIDER

Hitpoints: 1697 → 1766 (+4%)

Ram Rider gets a slight health buff. Since she's been largely replaced by other charge cards in the meta, this will increase her chances of connecting to the tower.

BABY DRAGON

Damage: 161 → 168 (+5%)

The classic Baby Dragon sees a slight damage increase to its base form, helping it become a more reliable support troop in heavier decks.

These changes are definitely going to shake up the competitive ladder. Time to update those decks!
